Condition Report

Colour:

The colour in the catalogue illustration is fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly richer in the original.

Condition:

This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals some faint handling marks to the lower edge at centre. Extremely close inspection reveals some very faint, unobtrusive diagonal scratches to the upper left quadrant, which are possibly inherent to the artist's choice of media. Further close inspection reveals some chips to the artist's frame, which are in keeping with the aging process. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals some stablised craquelure to the lower right edge, and a small area of uneven fluorescence in the upper right quadrant.
