This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals some evidence of light wear to the outer edges with some associate minute and unobtrusive specks of loss to all four corner tips and in isolated places to the extreme edges. Further very close inspection reveals a network of drying craqueleure to the blue paint and some further drying cracks to the areas of thicker impasto in the black paint. There is a small network of hairline cracks, which are associated with an impact towards the upper edge of the black area, and two rub marks to the lower edge. There are faint stretcher bar marks at the upper and lower edges, visible only under a raking light. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals some specks of irregular fluorescents, which are possibly consolidation.
