SELECTED IMAGES OF SNOWFLAKES
10 photomicrographs of Snowflakes, printing-out-paper prints, each framed, late 1890s-1920s (10)
Each approximately 4 by 3 in. (10.2 by 7.6 cm.)
These photographs are in generally excellent condition. They are tonally rich, with deep saturated darks - from black to dark brown - and creamy highlights. In raking light, silvering is visible in the darkest areas of each print. A few creases at the edges, minor edge chipping, faint corner impressions, deposits and soiling are visible on some prints, upon close examination.
There are 4 hinge remnants on the reverse of each print.
