ROMAN AMPHITHEATER, VALENCIA, SPAIN
signed in ink and embossed in the margin, framed, 1933, printed later (Cartier-Bresson: Photographer, pl. 20)
9⅝ by 14¼ in. (24.5 by 36.2 cm.)
This print is in generally excellent condition. As is typical of Cartier-Bresson's later prints, upon close examination in raking light, scattered tiny deposits of original retouching are visible. There are two raised areas along the upper margin edge, which correspond to two hinge remnants on the reverse.
There is a one-inch, rust-colored linear deposit of indeterminate nature on the reverse.
