A MONUMENTAL SAFAVID TINNED COPPER BOWL, PERSIA, DATED 1083 AH/1672-73 AD
the deep rounded body on a trumpet foot, with a slightly flaring rim, the exterior decorated with an engraved calligraphic band against floral scrolls

The call to God to bless 'The Fourteen Innocents', unusually, using more of their attributes. Dated as: 'The year 1[0]83 AH (1672-73 AD)'.
In a four-lobed cartouche around the rim: 'Qasim hopes for Muhammad's intercession'
Most probably, the maker's name and that could be either Qasim or Muhammad Qasim.
Later owner's name on the body: Abu'l-Qasim Karbala'i.
Also an invocation: 'O 'Ali!'
