Most of the album pages are signed Sayyid Golestaneh and dated 1309 AH/1891-92 AD. Other album pages bear the name of ‘Abd al-Majid Taliqani’s, among which three have the date of 1117 AH (1705-06 AD). The scribe Sayyid ‘Ali Akbar Golestaneh (1858-1901), titled Ihtisham al-Sadat, was born in Isfahan, but travelled frequently and died in Tehran. He was a well-known calligrapher of nasta’liq and shikasteh. His recorded work includes and album prepared for Muzaffar al-Din Shah in the Gulistan Palace Library, copied in Tehran and dated 1317 AH/1899-1900 AD, as well as many calligraphic pages, one dated 1318 AH/1900-01 (M. Bayani, ahval va athar-e khosh-navisan, nasta’liq navisan, vol.2, 1346 sh, pp.437-8). This is the earliest recorded work by him.
