AN EGYPTIAN BRONZE HEAD OF A CAT, 26TH/30TH DYNASTY, 664-342 B.C.
with finely modeled face, strong cheekbones, and erect ears with striated markings and holes for the attachment of earrings.
Height 6 cm.
European private collection, 1st half the 20th Century ( based on patina, wood base, cork mount, and label)

On the back of the wood base is an old French label with blue border and cut corners inscribed in ink "5634 / Epoque Saïte / XXVI: Dyn / AE P.2.Z".
