A HELLENISTIC BRONZE APPLIQUE, 2ND/1ST CENTURY B.C.
cast on a thin quadrangular plate with a palmette surmounting an acanthus leaf and flanked by two addorsed hunting dogs each devouring a goat's head.
Height 7 cm.; length 20 cm.
said to have been found in Pompeii
