Condition Report

The work is lined and tacked to modern stretchers. There is frame abrasion along the extreme outer edges of the board and remnants of gold leaf along the extreme outer edges, likely from framing. There is surface cracking throughout the composition, though the surface does appear stable at this time, and a small abrasion to the paint layer at upper center. Under UV light there appears to be inpaint along the extreme outer edges, likely to address frame abrasion, and additional small spots of inpaint along the lower margin consistent with stretcher bar marks. Although some pigments read strongly under UV light, particularly in the grapes, they appear to be the artist's original work.
