The work is unlined and appears to retain the original stretchers. The surface of the work is dirty, with frame abrasions, stretcher bar marks and staining along the extreme outer edges. There is surface cracking throughout, though the paint layer does appear stable at this time, and there appears to be a 1/2-inch indent in the canvas with a small break and corresponding flake losses at lower right. Under UV light there appear to be some small spots of inpaint along the extreme outer edges, likely to address frame abrasion, and a few very minor horizontal lines of inpaint in the sky at center.
