wood, in a varnished wood frame
47 by 69cm., 18½ by 27¼in. overall
Overall the condition of the relief is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are some minor nicks and abrasions, including to the woman's arm. There is minor stable splitting to the wood, consistent with the material, notably on the left side, running slightly through the woman's hair and cheek, and on the right side through the man's neck and arm. There appears to be a loss to the bottom edge of the relief.
There is wear to the wood frame, including minor abrasions throughout.
