DIANE SUR UN CROISSANT DE LUNE (DIANA ON THE CRESCENT MOON)
bronze, dark brown patina, on a veined red marble socle
bronze: 76cm., 2⅞in.
socle: 26cm., 10¼in.
Overall the condition of the bronze is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are scratches to the surface throughout. There is some wear to the patina, in particular at the high points, such as the elbows, the chest and the knees and to both tips of the crescent moon. The proper right foot appears to have been cast separately and a joint is slightly visible to the lower leg. There are a few original plugs to both arms. The condition of the marble base is good, with some chips and abrasions to the edges. There are remnants of an old label to the marble base at the back.
