PROSPER D' EPINAY | TOINON
PROSPER D' EPINAY
1836 - 1914
polychromed terracotta, on a grey marble socle
73cm., 28¾in. overall
Overall the condition of the terracotta is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The skin tones on the face and neck have been repainted. There is wear to the paint of the dress, hair and bonnet, including minor flaking. There are a few small possible chips at the high points such as the hair. It is possible that restorations are concealed by the paintwork.
