Dante Zoi worked at the notable workshops of Romanelli and Lapini in Florence in the early 20th century. His style evolved from the traditional Romantic manner to a more modern treatment, as Art Deco became increasingly influential. This elegant and impressive marble of an Oriental Dancer epitomises this artistic movement in sculpture.
