Overall the condition of the plaster is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is a joint on either side of the woman's head, which is possibly original. There are a few small lacunae to the surface, and there are a few minor scratches. There is some minor flaking to the gilding if the frame, and there are a few small chips to the paint.
