BUST OF SPRING
signed: A CARRIER BELLEUSE
Overall the condition of the marble is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The marble has been heavily cleaned, leaving a slight sheen to the surface which is irreversible. There are a few chips to the flowers in the hair and at the bust. There are a few small naturally occurring inclusions to the marble, including to the proper left cheek (with some fill), the right side of the nose, below the proper right eye, the proper left side of the chest, and to the flowers near the bottom of the bust. There is a chip to the edge of the truncation at the bottom. There are minor abrasions at the back, and there are some stains and minor residues to the socle, which detaches.
