A LARGE FAMILLE-VERTE CHARGER | QING DYNASTY, KANGI PERIOD
The shallow rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to an everted rim, brightly decorated to the interior with a medallion enclosing a pair of birds perched upon a prunus tree issuing from rockwork, encircled by large lotus lappet panels variously enclosing antiques, birds, insects and landscapes reserved on a foliate scroll green ground, the rim with quatrefoil panels enclosing mythical beasts and fish reserved on an iron-red reverse decorated foliate band, the exterior with a simple band of lotus strapwork.

The dish is in very good condition with the exception of fritting/ small chips along the rim, some glaze firing imperfections and surface wear.
