Overall, the condition of the medallion is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are small dents and some rubbing to the Virgin's nose and chin. There are also some minor nicks and scratches, including to the chest, to the veil on the proper right shoulder, to the cheek, and to the neck on the proper left side. There is minor tarnishing to the gilt brass frame.
