VACHERON CONSTANTIN | 18K PINK GOLD CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH, REF 4072
One of Vacheron Constantin’s most emblematic chronographs, the reference 4072 exhibits the understated elegance and technical virtuosity for which the manufacture is known. This piece, created in 1942, is one of only 260 models that were produced in pink gold with the caliber V434. Its handsomely patinated dial features pink gold indexes, blued steel counter and chronograph hands, and sleek, modernist lines. The manually-wound movement boasts a 30-minute counter — an especially impressive time-measuring capacity for the era. Its production started in the late 1930's and finished in the early 1970's. This specific piece was sold by the famous retailer Meisier & Co, based in Rio de Janeiro in 1945.
