Daphne du Maurier's gripping 1938 novel was made into a film in 1940 by Alfred Hitchcock. It was Hitchcock's first project in America, and the first that he made whilst under contract with David O. Selznick. The film stars Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine, and was nominated for eleven Oscars, winning with Best Picture and Cinematography.

The artwork on this poster is almost identical to the American poster. However the Argentinian distributors commissioned an artist to create a painted image of the two main stars, opposed to the photographic style of the American poster.
