This 1944 American film was directed by Howard Hawks, and remains one of the most important and memorable of Humphrey Bogart's films. It was also co-star Lauren Bacall's screen debut, and from their opening scene together the couple lit up the screen with a powerful chemistry. They were married within a year, and lived happily until Bogart's death in 1957. At his funeral, Bacall placed a small gold whistle in the urn with Bogart's ashes, inscribed with the famous line from this film 'if you want anything just whistle'.

This very cool pop art style poster was designed for a short re-release of the film in Sweden in the 70s, and very few of them have ever surfaced.
