CULTURED PEARL AND DIAMOND RING AND PAIR OF EARCLIPS, VAN CLEEF & ARPELS
The ring set with a cultured pearl measuring approximately 12.9 mm, within a fluted gold mounting accented by round diamonds, size 5¾, signed VCA, numbered 656H-2; the earclips centering two cultured pearls measuring approximately 12.6 mm and 12.3 mm, accented with round and marquise-shaped diamonds, one earclip signed VCA, numbered NY54036, with Italian registry mark.
In good condition, with surface scratches to the gold commensurate with wear, predominantly to the back of the ring shank. One earclip stamped 750 for 18 karat gold; the other earclip stamped Italy. The ring inscribed 18K. The earclip mechanisms each partially stamped with the French "Ste SGDG" mark. Only one earclip signed and numbered. The cultured pearls of ivory body color, with good skin and luster, and very minor blemishes visible under magnification. The cultured pearls on the earclips are slightly button-shaped; depth not measurable due to mounting. The diamonds, weighing approximately 1.60 carat on the ring, and approximately 1.00 carat total on the earclips, are approximately F-G color, VS clarity. Accompanied by a photocopy of the Van Cleef & Arpels packing slip dated April 16, 1987, for the earclips. A gold, diamond and pearl ring is also mentioned on the packing slip but the inventory number differs from the number inscribed on the ring offered here. Earclip length approximately ¾ inch. Total gross weight approximately 17 dwts.
