Folio (11 x 7½ in.; 282 x 189 mm). Two woodcut printer's devices on title-page (not in McKerrow), separate title-page for second part, also with two woodcut devices, on 2M2r, woodcut initials and headpieces; lightly browned, a bit of offsetting to title from contemporary identification of the author on facing free endpaper. Contemporary calf, plain endpapers, red-sprinkled edges; rebacked, extremities rubbed, corners rather worn.
Second edition in English, translated by Thomas Shelton. When first published in 1612, Shelton's translation was the first in any language. A very good copy.
