10 vols., 8vo (9 x 6 in.; 228 x 153 ). Frontispieces and numerous plates by Clare Victor Dwiggins in 2 states with lettered tissue-guards. Crushed green morocco, covers with gilt-tooled frame and central gilt floral spray with red and white morocco onlays, spines gilt with floral motif in six compartments, purple morocco doublures, purple moiré linings, tope edges gilt, others uncut; extremities rubbed, spines slightly darkened, one spine a bit gouged.
The Académie française edition, no. 40 of 50 sets, all on japon paper.
