one letter arranging a meeting between Suter and the Irish artist Patrick Tuohy, mentioning that he had recently painted a portrait of Joyce's father, also complaining of his eye problems and a forthcoming visit by the scholar Walter Müller, arranging to deliver unidentified pictures, and family matters, the card offering Christmas greetings, in German, French, and English, 5 pages, 8vo, Victoria Palace Hotel and 2, Square Robiac, Paris, 4 June 1923 to December 1925

Joyce befriended the Swiss sculptor August Suter (1887-1965) in Zurich in 1918 through their mutual friend Frank Budgen. Their acquaintance was renewed in the early 1920s when both men were living in Paris.
