Description
Accompanied by GIA report no. 1219778630 stating that the diamond is D color, VVS1 clarity.
A combination of superlative color and clarity — the most desirable qualities in a diamond — make this 1.03 carat stone a remarkable find. The elegantly sloped marquise-shaped dates back to the 18th century when, as legend has it, King Louis XIV commissioned a diamond that resembled the lips of his lover, the Marquise de Pompadour. For a contemporary twist, try setting it East-West rather than the traditional North-South. It would make for an especially striking pendant, delicately floating against one’s décolletage.
