Lot Details

Description

This lot is comprised of four diamonds of exceptional quality: two round brilliants and two pear-shapes. It is remarkably rare to find four stones that are so perfectly matched in size, color and clarity and even rarer for all four to have impeccably colorless tone. Given the combination of cuts, these stones are well-suited to drop earrings. A perennial favorite on red carpets, pear-shaped diamonds suspended from round brilliant surmounts are an enduring classic. For added versatility, consider making the pear-shaped drops removable so that the earrings can easily convert to studs.

The finished earrings pictured here were selected from Sotheby’s archives to provide inspiration for designing your own bespoke jewel using the loose stones offered in this lot. Please note that these are just an example of the many design possibilities and are not available for purchase.

Accompanied by four GIA reports:

No. 6225303358 stating that the diamond weighing 3.05 carats is D Color, VS1 clarity.

No. 6252091759 stating that the diamond weighing 3.04 carats is D Color, VVS2 clarity.

No. 2276403632 stating that the diamond weighing 2.01 carats is D Color, VS2 clarity.

No. 7193462405 stating that the diamond weighing 2.01 carats is E Color, VS2 clarity.
