A five-column monk's kesa of gold brocade used during daily ceremonies and meditation.

  • Kesa have been made by monks as ceremonial robes for centuries from donations of exquisite textiles from wealthy patrons of Japanese Buddhist temples.
  • Mounted to a custom stretcher covered with archival Belgian linen.
