Description
Meyer Vaisman (Venezuelan-American, 1960).
The late Leo Castelli was honored by Meyer Vaisman at the 35th Anniversary of the Castelli Gallery in 1993 by characterizing Mr. Castelli on this Toby mug. This art form, popular since the 18th century, has been appropriated and includes a handle depicting works of five artists who were represented by this famous art world personality.
The caricature was executed by Robert Grossman and the mug is manufactured by Kevin Francis Ceramics in Staffordshire, England.
