Description
Rolex introduced the GMT-Master in 1954 to capitalize on the growth of commercial air travel. It was originally designed as a tool watch for pilots to utilize when flying between multiple time zones, allowing them to quickly indicate time for home and local times. The design has been cemented as one of the most recognizable looks in watchmaking history. Here we have an eye-catching steel and gold variant with a chocolate brown dial. The dial and bezel insert on this watch has faded slightly, adding an attractive warmth to the watch and goes perfectly with the gold hands and gold "nipple" hour markers. To top it all off, this watch is offered with its original chronometer certification with punched serial number.
