Daytona Reference 6241, A stainless steel chronograph watch with bracelet, Circa 1967
Case: The case is in overall very good condition with light signs of wear and polishing. The inside case back has watchmaker's marks and is stamped 6241. The serial and reference number between the lugs are legible. The bracelet is in equivalent condition and is stamped ' 2 71' on the clasp, '7835 19' on the bracelet, and '257' on the end links. Crown, pushers and crystal were replaced during a service at Rolex in 2009.
Dial: The dial is in overall very good and attractive condition. The luminous plots remain intact with some partial losses to 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. The plots and hands have aged evenly throughout to an attractive warmer color.
Movement: Chronograph function operating. The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
Bracelet circumference is approximately 175 mm
