Original first printing of this travel poster by the Tunisia Tourism Office showing an image of a reclining bathing figure sharing the beach with traditionally dressed Muslim women.
Tunisia's independence process took place between 1952-1956. The country officially declared independence from France in 1956, and for the remainder of the decade, the leadership of Prime Minister Habib Bourguiba sustained a vision of Tunisia as secular, populist and imbued with French rationalism and élan.
Wear consistent with age and use.
Slight tears at edges.
