Description
Movado was founded in 1881 and is known for its unique design and high-quality watch mechanisms. Zenith's watchmaking history dates to 1856 and they have proven their efficiency and influenced many brands. The two collaborated on certain models between 1969 and 1984, with Zenith producing the movements for a Movado design. Movado is notoriously known for their museum dial; in this example, the inspiration is similar, with its wooden dial and Roman markers.
Honest Vintage: The Greg Selch Collection
A native New Yorker from a family of connoisseurs, Greg Selch has collected watches for over 20 years, among many other things. Over the years, Selch has become well-known for his passion: “orphan watches” as well as well-worn watches with patina, for which a term has been created: #selchism.

FairThe watch is in overall fair condition with moderate wear throughout commensurate with age. Case is in fair condition with scratches. Bracelet has moderate signs of surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Dial is in overall good condition. Hands showing signs of being pitted and patina. Caseback has visible scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
