Description
Zenith's watchmaking history dates to 1856 and they have proven their efficiency and influenced many brands. The Captain Chronometer was released in 1957 and can be considered a dress collection. Early Pie-Pan Zenith Captains have a rare dial that gained popularity in the late '50s–'60s with a beveled outer ring that resembles an inverted cake pan. These are truly beautiful pieces and sought after by vintage collectors.
Honest Vintage: The Greg Selch Collection
A native New Yorker from a family of connoisseurs, Greg Selch has collected watches for over 20 years, among many other things. Over the years, Selch has become well-known for his passion: “orphan watches” as well as well-worn watches with patina, for which a term has been created: #selchism.

FairThe watch is in overall fair condition with visible wear throughout commensurate with age. Case is in fair condition with scratches. Bracelet has minor signs of stretch and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Hands have signs of pitting. Dial has aged with patina. Caseback has minor visible scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
