A concert poster for a Joy Division performance that was scheduled to take place at the Astoria in Edinburgh, Scotland, on the 8th of May 1980.

  • After Peter Saville (English, b. 1955).
  • The poster features the artwork from the group’s 1979 debut album, Unknown Pleasures, designed by Saville and derived from an illustration of a pulsar from the Cambridge Encyclopedia of Astronomy.
  • The concert was canceled due to the ill health of singer Ian Curtis, who would sadly take his own life just 10 days later.
  • This work is presented unframed.
