• Joseph Hilton McConnico, a Memphis, Tennessee native, moved to Paris in 1965 and began designing objects for France’s best makers, including Daum in the 1980s.
• McConnico began his collaboration with Daum France in 1987 and was the first American whose work became part of the Louvre's permanent collection of decorative art. 
• Signatures to the underside include Hilton McConnico and Daum France.
