Description

A Chinese porcelain crane from the Republic period.

  • A majestic crane perched on a pine tree, finely crafted and painted in realistic colors.
  • Crane, or he 鹤, and pine, or song 松 are both symbols of longevity in China and form the rebus songhe tongchun 松鶴同春 - "May you, like the crane and pine, enjoy longevity."
  • The crane clutches a fungus or Lingzhi 灵芝, which is known as the fungus of immortality.
