Description
An exhibition poster designed and illustrated by Basquiat during his lifetime.
A standout Basquiat collector's piece designed and illustrated by the artist himself, just months before his death in August of the same year.
The Hans Mayer Gallery Düsseldorf, began with a Josef Albers show in 1965 and concentrated on constructionist art in the following years. In 1969 Hans Mayer was the first to show Andy Warhol in Düsseldorf. The gallery later added exhibitions by further standout artists, Frank Stella, Ellsworth Kelly, Bill Beckley, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, Tom Wesselmann, Keith Haring, and Jean Michel Basquiat in the years to follow.
