A Joe DiMaggio-signed 1942 World Series grandstand ticket, graded "AUTHENTIC AUTOGRAPH" by Beckett.
In the 1942 World Series, the New York Yankees fell to the St. Louis Cardinals in five games. Yankees superstar Joe DiMaggio signed this upper grandstand ticket for Game 4, which resulted in a 9-6 victory for the Cardinals.
This World Series defeat came the year after DiMaggio famously recorded a hit in 56 consecutive games and won the 1941 American League MVP award. His 56-game hitting streak is considered one of the most unbreakable records in sports.
A 3-time MVP and 13-time All-Star, DiMaggio was a member of 9 World Series championship teams during his legendary career. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955.
The ticket is encapsulated in a Beckett slab and received an "AUTHENTIC AUTOGRAPH" grade.
