Description

John Chamberlain (American, 1927-2011).

  • This set includes a serving bowl with six plates entitled Tasted Snow for Artes Magnus.
  • In keeping with the artist's interest in found objects, particularly automotive parts, Chamberlain has used a gear and an oil-pan to make the molds for his plates and bowl.
  • Fabricated in Limoges, France, these white porcelain pieces are each over-glazed with gold, platinum and copper on their rims, recalling the timing marks that mechanics use.

Bowl: Height 5 in / 12.7 cm; Diameter 12 in / 30.48 cm
