Description
Rolex launched the Submariner 5513 in 1962, eight years after the model's introduction to the market. It was produced until 1989, making it one of the longest-lasting references in the Submariner family.
Its design remained quite unchanged over 27 years, however, collectors can differentiate the early gloss dials from the subsequent matte dial.
Over the years, this example has developed a strong character and is fitted with the rare "underline" dial. It is believed that the underline was used to indicate the fact that the watch was equipped with tritium. This feature can only be found on dials from 1960 to 1966, when dials did not feature the "T SWISS T" or "SWISS-T<25" yet.

FairThe watch is in overall fair condition with moderate wear throughout commensurate with age. Case is in overall fair condition with moderate surface wear and scratches. Bezel has minor discoloration to the bezel, showcasing a ghost bezel. Acrylic crystal has one scratch in the middle. Bracelet has moderate signs of stretch and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Hands show signs of discoloration, the luminous and light scratching at the metal consistent with age. Dial is in very good condition. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
