Description
A true vintage icon, the Rolex Submariner reference 1680 introduced in 1967, is a milestone piece in dive watch history. Most notably, it was the first Submariner to feature a date function and a magnifying Cyclops lens. This watch is part of the "Red Sub" Era and features the desirable Swiss T dial, celebrated by collectors for its warm tritium lume and classic vintage aesthetic. The watch is fitted with a Rolex reference 93150 Oyster bracelet with solid links, Fliplock clasp, and 580 end links, a configuration introduced around commonly found on later-production 1680 models. GoodThe watch remains in overall good vintage condition. The dial is fitted with service hands, and the bezel insert, crystal, and case exhibit attractive patina and expected signs of wear commensurate with age. Prior service history is unknown. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
