Description

American sterling silver butter dish in the form of a Viking longboat.

  • Made by Durgin Sterling Silver in Concord.
  • Ovoid with looping sternpost and tall and scrolled stem post with notches for holding knives (not included).
  • Gilt interior.
  • Oval liner with upturned ends, central oval finger ring and ornamental piercing.
  • Fully marked including maker’s stamp, Montgomery Bros retailer’s stamp, number 80. Liner and sterling.
