The Stingwater x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Magic Mushroom’ represents the first collaboration between Daniel Kim’s skate brand and Nike Skateboarding. Those familiar with Kim’s brand will instantly recognize the psychedelic inspiration behind the colorway: Psilocybin mushrooms. The shoe’s upper is constructed from Varsity Red leather with white-spotted overlays reminiscent of the tips of these mushrooms, while the ridged lining of the shoes represents the gills. Each side panel features Stingwater branding above a translucent three-dimensional Swoosh. The phrase “empty your mind” paired with an image of a mushroom can be found on the underside of each tongue, and each insole states “please don’t step on me, I’m trying to GROE”. A hidden zippered pocket on the inside of each tongue provides discreet storage. The shoe is completed by a translucent midsole, and outsoles bearing the phrases “PLANT EMOJI” and “WITH EYES”.
