Description
One of the most sought-after models in the history of Rolex, the Daytona Reference 6241 is a truly iconic watch. The timepiece presented today dates back to 1967 and features the recognizable with dial with black registers and a black acrylic bezel.
Condition Report
Case is in overall very good condition with light signs of wear and polishing. The inside case back has watchmaker's marks and is stamped 6241. The serial and reference number between the lugs are legible.
Bracelet is in equivalent condition and is stamped ' 2 71' on the clasp, '7835 19' on the bracelet, and '257' on the end links. Crown, pushers and crystal were replaced during a service at Rolex in 2009.
Dial is in overall very good and attractive condition. The luminous plots remain intact with some partial losses to 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. The plots and hands have aged evenly throughout to an attractive warmer color.
Chronograph function operating.
Movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
