Rolex introduced its first Oyster Perpetual watch in 1931 with the word Oyster referring to the first waterproof case the brand created in the 1920s. The Oyster Perpetual has since become the brand's staple piece with its timeless and simple design.
The watch is in very good condition. Buckle has a nick next to the logo and a minor scratch. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
