Description
Gorgeous Belle Epoque Egyptian Revival 950 silver box with jewels made by Henin & Cie, Paris.
- Rectangular with applied wraparound leaf and rosette border at top and gold crown mounted to front.
- Corners chamfered with sphincter monopodium supports.
- Cover flat and hinged with turquoise “robin’s egg” centrally mounted in gold, and gold border with raised leaves and cabochon jewels.
- There are four diamonds, four amethysts and eight rubies.
- Cover rim has gold border with integral tab inset with oval cabochon turquoise.
- Gilt wash interior.
- Fully marked with maker’s stamp and mercury head export stamp.
- Also stamped 925.
