It is said that a number of these proofs were signed by Freddie Mercury in Germany in the mid-1980s prior to Christmas and they were then sent back to London where they were intended to be made into Christmas cards. However, this project never materialized, and the proofs remained in Freddie’s home, Garden Lodge, for over 35 years.
