The Patek Philippe Aquanaut Reference 5066 was produced in yellow gold for a relatively brief period between 1997 and 2003. By contrast, the stainless steel version remained in production until 2006, giving collectors a wider window to acquire the steel model.
This distinction makes the yellow gold 5066 notably rarer, and it stands out as one of the early Aquanaut references that helped establish the collection’s identity in the late 1990s.
