Description
Before the first world war, wristwatches were known as "wristlets" and mostly only worn by women. Men of the time all carried pocket watches, with the finest of them all being made by Patek Philippe. The present watch is a quintessential example, cased in pink gold and also featuring a gorgeous and well preserved enamel dial.
Condition Report
The enamel dial is nice and free of cracks, with very minor specs barely noticeable to the naked eye. The case is in very good overall condition with crisp engravings and hallmarks on the inside caseback and cuvette. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
Please note that this item is final sale and not eligible for return. This item ships from Hong Kong; applicable import duties, taxes, or fees may be assessed by the destination country. Domestic alternatives may be available.
